Summer Speakers Showcase

The Higher Education and Professional Speakers included in this Showcase are among the most skilled and knowledgeable in their field. They have generously volunteered their talents to support our future.

 

How Does the Speaker Showcase Work?

 

There are two classifications of speakers:  Higher Education Speakers and Professional Speakers.  These individuals have graciously donated their services to the ACPA Foundation.  Please review the guidelines below before making a committed bid.

 

Higher Education Speakers:

 

This category includes highly regarded experts in their field, authors, and researchers who are willing to speak on your campus, or at a student or professional conference.  They have significant experience speaking and training, in addition to their other responsibilities.  Typical compensation for their consulting services averages:  $1000 - $3500

 

  • Time Frame of Service Offered:  One hour keynote – or, up to two hours of a workshop presentation on the same day.
  • Type of Audience:  Single campus or staff appearance, or conference.
  • Minimum Starting Bid: $750.00 with $125.00 bid increments.
  • Travel:  An additional $500 is payable directly to the speaker for travel expenses or as negotiated by the university directly with the speaker plus hotel accommodations if needed.

 

Professional Speakers:

 

As full time nationally recognized speakers, these individuals bring significant keynoting and training experience.  All are published authors and have spoken on literally hundreds of campuses, as well as, have been featured national, regional or state conference keynoters.  Typical compensation for their keynoting services averages:  $3500 - $7000

 

 

  • Time Frame of Service Offered:  One hour keynote and up to three breakout sessions in one day.
  • Type of Audience:  Multi-School Events/Conferences or Professional Association Conferences where a diversity of colleges or organizations are present.  In other words, these speakers are not available for a single campus event – unless negotiated in advance prior to bidding.
  • Minimum Starting Bid:  $1500.00 with bid increments of $250.00. 
  • Travel:  An additional $500 is payable directly to the speaker for travel expenses or as negotiated by the university directly with the speaker, plus hotel accommodations if needed.

 

General Information

 

  • All speaking engagements need to be scheduled within 12 months of the convention and payment made to the Foundation upon invoicing directly following the convention (unless other arrangements are made in advance with the ACPA Foundation Treasurer.)
  • Conversations about availability and scope of the services are encouraged between potential bidders and the speakers in advance of the conference.
  • A Letter of Agreement will be sent to the winning bidder and speaker.  All logistical and travel arrangements are made between these two parties.
