ACPA Presidents Gallery
The information on the Past Presidents Page from 1924 through 1975 was published by ACPA in Presidential Profiles in 1975. This publication traced the succession of 51 volunteer presidential leaders during the lifetime of the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) and its two predecessor organizations, the National Association of Appointment Secretaries (NAAS) and the National Association of Placement and Personnel Officers (NAPPO). The information for Presidents serving from 1975 through 1991 was taken from Fulfilling Visions: Emerging Leaders of ACPA published by ACPA in 1991. Vernon Lee Sheeley authored both publications.
In the fall of 2008, Gregory Roberts, ACPA Executive Director approved William A. Bryan’s (ACPA Past President, 1984-85) plan to update past president profiles for 1924-1991. Bryan asked all living Past Presidents to update their profiles by providing achievements and advancements since their presidential year.
